Aerial event photography and HD video using UAV hexcopters.
Remotely piloted aerial systems are the ideal solution for filming events and give you a spectacular viewpoint too. For larger events where ground based photos just wouldn’t impress, a shot or video footage from on high will really make a difference. Being relatively quiet we can fly our ‘copters just away from the crowd to give a fantastic, and extremely safe, view of the proceedings. For sports too, whether it’s mountain biking, motor-cross, snowboarding, surfing, sailing or running based events, we can fly our UAV ‘copters close up to the action, over any type of terrain, giving you a unique viewpoint.
If it’s high res aerial photographs that you require or high definition video Kestrel-Cam can supply just what you require.
Operating to strict safety procedures, approved by the UK’s CAA, Kestrel-Cam’s first priority is the safety of the public and event participants.
Home Manchester Launch
We were asked to take capture some aerial drone video of the launch weekend at Home Manchester. Home is Manchester’s prestigious new cultural centre and the opening event was going to be very spectacular. We cordoned off a large area to maintain separation from the crowds, ensuring safe operation.
As part of Home’s opening ceremony there was going to be a fantastic pyrotechnic display. The client wanted us to capture the fireworks from above. The footage would then be edited in with the ground based video being shot separately.
The video for this event was all shot in 4K which could then be used to project on Home’s own cinema screens at a later date.
Trafford Centre Fireworks Drone Footage
Here’s what we shot with the drone on Bonfire Night at the Trafford Centre, Manchester. We were commissioned to film the fireworks from a safe distance, staying away from the large crowd that gathered to watch the fantastic display. Immediately afterwards we edited the video to the sound of the fireworks and sent it on to the local press for publication on their websites.
Lancashire County Cricket Club Media Day
A flight of our drone at Lancashire County Cricket Club’s media day. We use the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to capture HD video footage and high-res still images.
